TECHNIQUE CALIBRATION
  • To perform data calibration you need a set training files:
    • Select FORMAT X first: the technique that will be calibrated

  • Training files containing duplicate sediment samples measured by two different of analytical techniques. See how to format these files here.

  • Define the technique code for FORMAT X

  • Then select FORMAT Y : the technique format that FORMAT X will be converted to

  • Define the technique code for FORMAT Y

  • Select the type of calibration model to use: pure quadratic and quadratic models are more powerful, but need a lot of training samples. Choose linear if you are unsure.

  • If you select polynomial, pure quadratic or quadratic models you must also choose how many coefficients to use.

2 or 3 coefficients are usually best
